Beginning construction in August, This 4,100 sf home will sit on the most private 2-acre lot in The Tree Farm in Bend, Oregon. Overlooking Shevlin Park, the lot has views of the Cascade mountains from Mt Bachelor all the way up to Smith Rock. Orientation was determined to maximize views and to minimize the appearance of the driveway and garage. The design in the shape of an H provides separation from spaces, increases the flow of indoors-outdoors, and the maximization of light and ventilation. Facing west, the Great Rm features a 22’ multi-slide door which will open to the expansive patio living area. Included components of the patio and yard are a lounge area, covered dining, outdoor kitchen, spa, fire pit and lawn game area.
Materials for the exterior of the home include natural wood siding, hot-rolled steel, exposed steel beams, stone, glass, and standing seam metal on sloped roofs.
