Construction has begun on this 4,100 sf home that will sit on the most private 2-acre lot in The Tree Farm in Bend, Oregon. Overlooking Shevlin Park, the lot has views of the Cascade mountains from Mt Bachelor all the way up to Smith Rock. Orientation was determined to maximize views and to minimize the appearance of the driveway and garage. The design in the shape of an H provides privacy and separation, increases the flow of indoors-outdoors living, and the maximizes light and ventilation. Facing west, the Great Rm features a 22’ multi-slide door which will open to the expansive patio living area. Patio areas include a lounge area, covered dining, outdoor kitchen, spa, fire pit and lawn game area.
Materials for the exterior of the home include natural wood siding, hot-rolled steel, steel beams, stone, glass, and standing seam metal on sloped roofs.
